About Rainhill Civic Society

Rainhill Civic Society was founded in 1968, and its objective is to stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character of the township of Rainhill.

A committee of about 15 members organises a programme of events each year which includes talks, outside trips and practical projects to improve the environment in the Township. An important task is to monitor all planning applications relating to the area and to send comments on these applications to the planning authority.

The society is a registered charity, number 509638. Membership is open to all residents of Rainhill, and to anyone who supports the aims of the Society, the current annual subscription being £7 family membership and £5 for individuals. To find out more about joining as a member, contact us.

All meetings are open to everyone, members and non-members.
